A conversation about creative and art-based methods
In previous posts, I highlighted my work regarding creative methods and art-based approaches to research. See, Creative methods – messy data or Using creative methods in research or Making sense of fibromyalgia experiences. Although, these are very different entries, they all relate to various aspects of creative methods.
This brief entry is the edited outcome of a videoed conversation relating to the role and relevance of creative methods, but also to potential barriers and issues surrounding research using such approaches.
I would like to thank Dr Jennifer Leigh and Catriona Blackburn for our stimulating conversation, and for allowing me to use this video here. This film was first screened at the University of Coventry unconference #disrupticon on Friday, 19th January 2018.
