It is with great excitement that I share the news: Nicole Brown is FRSA, a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce.
Founded in 1754, the RSA brings together a global community of over 30,000 people to deliver solutions for lasting change. Receiving the FRSA fellowship demonstrates an individual’s commitment to inspiring better ways of thinking, acting and delivering change. Rosemary Davis, Professor Emeritus at IOE who in 2018 was awarded a CBE for services to education nominated Nicole Brown and her colleague Amanda Ince to become FRSA.
Dr Amanda Ince said: “We are delighted that this month we have both been accepted as Fellows and members of the Royal Society supporting the RSA’s mission in inspiring better ways of thinking and doing through championing new ideas, driving social change, and delivering practical solutions. Our upcoming jointly edited book ‘Creativity in Teacher Education’ is a step in this development, as it considers how creativity can and should be taught and developed in education programmes aimed at facilitators of learning.”
